This is a on-site position within an international team, offering structured onboarding, manufacturer training, and ongoing professional development. Job description:

As the PLC and automation expert on the team, you will analyze error messages, review control programs, and operate the visualization system, acting as the bridge between mechanics, electrical systems, and software. You will work closely with remote engineering support on more complex issues.

• Analyze error messages in the PLC and visualization system, interpret function blocks, and identify root causes
• Perform first-level diagnostics on the PLC and HMI, escalating complex issues to remote support
• Adjust parameters such as speeds, positions, and sensor values, and test the resulting changes
• Support software updates, backups, and system restorations
• Review log files, alarm lists, and key performance indicators such as MTTR and MTBF, and report findings to the team lead
• Work closely with mechanical and electrical colleagues, translating between hardware and softwar

Requirements:

• Education or training for electronics, or mechatronics,automation, technical IT or similiar
• Initial professional experience with PLC control systems, ideally Siemens S7 and TIA Portal
• Technical understanding of automation technology, sensor technology, and drive systems
• Ability to read PLC programs; programming experience is not required
• English language skills, minimum B1/B2 level, for team communication and remote support
• Flexibility for 24/7 shift work (3-shift model) – team works in a 3-shift model with 6 employees rotating across all shifts, so no one is permanently assigned to a single shift. On average, each technician works the night shift only about once in few months.
• High self-motivation, analytical thinking, and strong team skills
• Nice to have: experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, or SCADA systems, knowledge of fieldbuses such as
• Profibus, Profinet, or EtherCAT, experience with visualization systems, prior experience in intralogistics or with warehouse management systems
