About the Role
Wild Vision is looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual who can turn existing online videos into engaging series for streaming platforms.
In this role, you will review video content, identify interesting themes and stories, organise videos into episodes and seasons, and write compelling titles and descriptions.
This is a creative and editorial role focused on content planning, storytelling and organisation, rather than traditional video editing or social media management.
You will work with existing libraries of online video content, identifying opportunities to develop engaging series built around clear themes, stories, formats and audience interests.
The role requires the ability to make thoughtful editorial decisions, write confidently and accurately in English, and bring individual videos together to create a cohesive viewing experience.
For example, you might review a collection of existing travel videos, identify a common theme, organise selected videos into episodes, and write engaging titles and descriptions to turn them into a series for streaming audiences.
What You'll Be Doing
- Review large libraries of existing online video content and identify opportunities to develop new series.
- Develop creative concepts for series and seasons based on themes, stories, formats, personalities or audience interests.
- Select and organise existing videos into episodes and seasons that create a coherent and engaging viewing experience.
- Consider pacing, variety, progression and narrative flow when determining the structure and order of episodes.
- Write engaging and accurate titles, episode descriptions, season descriptions and other supporting content metadata.
- Ensure each series has a clear concept and is presented in a way that appeals to its intended audience.
- Identify content that does not fit a proposed series or may require additional editing.
- Work closely with editing, publishing and Connected TV teams to develop and prepare series for distribution.
- Find creative solutions when working with limited, varied or existing source material.
- Maintain organised records of selected videos, episode sequences and season structures.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written English, with the ability to understand, interpret and work confidently with English-language video content.
- Ability to write engaging titles and descriptions, develop compelling stories and make well-considered editorial decisions.
- A creative eye for identifying interesting themes, stories and connections across different videos, and turning them into engaging series concepts.
- Analytical thinking and a creative approach to solving problems, particularly when working with limited or varied source material.
- Understanding of how to select and organise existing videos into episodes and seasons that follow a clear structure, flow naturally and keep viewers engaged.
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisation when managing content, titles, descriptions and episode sequences.
- Ability to adapt creative ideas to available content, technical requirements and production limitations.
- Clear and effective communication, with the ability to share ideas, explain editorial decisions and collaborate with different teams.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in content management, content development, editorial work, digital media or content production.
- Experience working with YouTube, social media video content, streaming platforms or television content.
- Experience planning and organising video content for digital audiences.
- Familiarity with episodic storytelling, series development or content curation.
- An understanding of how streaming platforms organise and present series to viewers.
- Experience working with large content libraries or creator-led content.
