Front-End Developer – Marketing team

Do you want to build and maintain high-performing marketing pages using a framework-light architecture while avoiding unnecessary reinvention? If yes, then this could be your next favorite role. 

We’re looking for a Front-End Developer to join our remote team and help implement and evolve our marketing website.

Eklektika, a company from Belgrade, has existed for 20 years and recently became an integral part of the German/USA company Digistore24. Digistore24 is a global affiliate marketplace connecting offer owners and affiliates across digital products, subscriptions, services, and online business models, operating in ecosystems where visibility, trust, and speed matter. 

Your Mission:

This is not your average developer role. In fact, this is not a React, Vue, Tailwind, or Bootstrap role. Our marketing site is intentionally framework-light, relying on Astro for fully static output, Sanity as a headless CMS for structured content and translations, and vanilla JavaScript and CSS for front-end behavior and styling. 

Your mission is to ensure our marketing website communicates our ambition through a clear, high-performing, and consistent digital experience. You’ll initially focus on content development within Sanity Studio, using existing Custom Code components and our established ds24-prefixed architecture. As your familiarity with the platform grows, you will expand into translating approved designs into reusable, production-ready Astro sections, templates, and page components. Success in this position depends less on familiarity with a specific framework and more on strong fundamentals, sound engineering judgment, and the discipline to extend existing conventions rather than creating competing patterns. 

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and maintaining marketing pages using existing Sanity page-builder sections, content models, and Custom Code components.
• Building responsive interfaces with semantic HTML, modern vanilla CSS, and purposeful vanilla JavaScript, keeping performance and maintainability central to every implementation.
• Gradually expanding into writing GROQ queries to retrieve the content required by pages and components.
• Applying the established Digistore24 design system and section structure consistently, improving existing patterns only through appropriate architectural and review processes.
• Validating work thoroughly across breakpoints and supported browsers to identify and resolve visual, responsive, accessibility, and functional issues before release.
• Working closely with design, marketing, content, and engineering stakeholders to incorporate feedback efficiently and communicate constraints, trade-offs, and implementation status clearly.
• Using AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, responsibly within the team’s implementation guidance to speed up understanding and execution without compromising code quality.
• Making the primary technical owner’s review and QA process more efficient over time by raising technical issues early, responding well to feedback, and asking the right questions during onboarding. 

Must have:

• Strong working skills in semantic HTML, modern CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, with the ability to create robust responsive layouts without depending on a UI library or CSS framework.
• Ability to reason directly about layout, spacing, typography, breakpoint behavior, browser behavior, and progressive enhancement.
• A disciplined approach to maintainable code, browser compatibility, accessibility, static-site performance optimization, and visual QA.
• Experience working with a headless CMS or structured-content platform, implementing designs within an established component library, naming convention, or design system.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work productively with cross-functional partners.
• A strong learning mindset and the ability to quickly understand and apply established project conventions, workflows, and tools.
• A collaborative attitude that respects established systems, proposes improvements through shared technical discussion, and avoids unnecessary framework introduction.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with the Astro framework or other static-site/static-output frameworks (such as Eleventy, Hugo, Jekyll, or a static-export workflow).
• Direct experience with Sanity headless CMS or systems like Contentful and Strapi.
• Familiarity with GROQ querying.
• Experience with multilingual or translated CMS content and page-builder architectures.
• Experience working on marketing websites with a high standard of visual execution.
• Prior familiarity with Digistore24’s internal processes and ways of working.
