Due to expansion, we are actively looking to expand our payroll team, and we are currently recruiting for the following position:

Payroll Specialist

About the role

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll, remitting payroll taxes and government reporting, as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements for our clients. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of payroll legislation and will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Accurate payroll calculations for clients using the designated payroll system/software;
• Maintaining payroll records and reports, both manually and electronically;
• Monthly and annual reporting to the Tax Administration and other relevant state authorities;
• Preparation of payroll calculation reports;
• Written communication with clients, state authorities, and other third parties;
• Monitoring payroll-related legislation in Serbia and ensuring timely implementation of legislative changes, as well as handling related compliance matters;
• Independently delivering assigned tasks and maintaining effective communication with clients and team members;
• Supporting and developing the skills of junior team members;
• Performing other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Key requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant payroll experience;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word;
• Knowledge of ABSoft payroll programs is an advantage;
• Experience working in a payroll or professional services agency is preferred;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team;
• Strong analytical and systematic approach to work;
• Highly motivated with a positive team spirit.
