Structural Engineer – Residential & Utility Construction

This role is for a structural engineer with at least four years of experience in concrete structures on residential projects. The ideal candidate works methodically, takes ownership of calculations from design through to execution, and is comfortable across prefab and cast-in-place work.

You will join Teem as part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Van Wijnen Engineering, the engineering arm of one of the Netherlands' largest construction and development groups. The majority of projects, roughly 80 to 90 percent, are residential, ranging from ground-based housing to high-rise developments of ten or more floors, including complex sites near dikes, in dense urban areas, and projects involving underground parking; the remainder covers utility construction. As an engineering company operating inside a construction group, structural engineers here are expected to think beyond the calculation itself, working with colleagues across the business on efficiency, safety, buildability, and material cost. You will work from our Belgrade office, communicating daily in English with Dutch colleagues and project teams.

What you will do

• Independently prepare and work out structural calculations for foundations, load-bearing structures, and stability, including wind loads and detailing where required
• Work with structural design and calculation software such as Revit, Allplan, SCIA, or Technosoft, translating calculations into structural models and execution-ready drawings
• Work across concrete structures, in prefab, cast-in-place, or both, on projects ranging from ground-based housing to high-rise buildings
• Stay involved across the full project lifecycle, from the earliest design sketches through to reviewing reinforced concrete on site before casting
• Identify and flag risks, deviations, and optimisation opportunities in design and execution, working with colleagues on efficiency, safety, buildability, and cost

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 4 years of experience working with concrete on residential projects as a structural engineer, prefab, cast-in-place, or both
• Holds a master's degree in structural engineering from a Serbian technical faculty
• Has practical experience with at least one of Revit, Allplan, SCIA, or Technosoft; experience with Technosoft is a plus
• Can independently translate structural calculations into models and construction-ready drawings
• Communicates daily, in written and spoken English, with Dutch colleagues and project teams
• Approaches the work as part of the wider team, thinking about efficiency, safety, and cost beyond the immediate calculation
  Is looking to grow within a long-term, embedded role
