Structural Engineer – Towers
Novi Sad, Serbia | Full-time
ABOUT US
We are a multi-discipline engineering and technical services group of companies providing full turnkey services for the telecommunications, broadcasting, and wind monitoring industries throughout Canada, the U.S., and beyond. Our services span site acquisition, design and engineering, fabrication and installation of towers and special structures, existing-site analysis and modifications, equipment installation, testing, and site management. Our engineering team has an unrivalled depth of experience in tall towers, from conceptual design through code compliance, including a 398m hybrid tower in Jakarta, and holds leadership roles on the committees that write the codes we work to, including CSA S37 and TIA-222.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Novi Sad. Bring us a strong foundation in math, statics, and structural analysis, and we will provide you with exceptional industry specific training. You will work closely with our engineering team in Canada on a daily basis, learning directly from engineers who have designed some of the tallest towers in the world, gaining hands-on international experience from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and computer analysis of steel towers for telecommunications and broadcast applications
- Development of computer models for steel structures, including towers and poles
- Preparation of tower analysis reports
- Design of welded and bolted connections
- Design of reinforced concrete foundations
- Support on general assembly, installation, and fabrication drawings
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Structural engineering university degree
- Practical understanding of steel and reinforced concrete structures
- Able to follow a design standard or national building code
- Strong knowledge of statics and structural dynamics, with previous experience using finite element software
- Verifiable experience with AutoCAD 2D
- Eager to learn and take direction from senior engineers
- Comfortable working in teams with members across different countries and continents
- Very good knowledge of English
- Positive, collaborative attitude
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Robot, STAAD, or Tekla
- Understanding of steel fatigue and vortex shedding
- Exposure to Canadian or U.S. engineering codes and practices
