Shared Service Finance Associate with Hungarian

For our client, an international company establishing a new Shared Service Center in Serbia, Workforce is currently building a team of professionals for several positions within the finance function. This is a new, international SSC environment that will support global finance operations and consolidate processes across multiple European countries.

The position offers a hybrid work model, the opportunity to work in a new team and SAP S/4HANA environment, as well as the chance to develop within a growing international organization.

Job Description

Main Duties:

• Handle day-to-day transactions within the assigned function (GL, AR, or AP), ensuring accurate and timely recording
• For AR: record and allocate customer payments, follow up on outstanding balances and payment-related discrepancies
• For AP: process vendor invoices, resolve mismatches and support timely payment execution
• For GL: post journal entries, support account reconciliations and maintain accurate ledger records
• Support regular period-end closing activities within the assigned function
• Perform routine account reconciliations and support the resolution of differences
• Communicate directly with Hungarian-speaking stakeholders, both internal and external, regarding finance-related matters
• Work closely with internal teams to clarify and resolve issues related to customer, vendor, or ledger accounts
• Assist in maintaining and updating process documentation and work instructions
• Support the consistent application and continuous improvement of finance processes across European entities
• Perform daily activities using SAP S/4HANA and other relevant finance systems

Work Experience and Skills:

• Fluent Hungarian, both written and spoken, is required
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Previous experience in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable is preferred
• Experience in a Shared Service Center or international environment is an advantage
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and structured approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn
